Subtexts of the Potsdam city history

 

Screening of “SUB.TEXTE - Struggle for Freedom” about Potsdam's sub- and alternative culture since the 1990s.

 

The project group “SUB.TEXTE - Fight for Freedom” of the cultural work course at the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences plans to show its documentary in the Potsdam computer center for the first time in spring 2021. In it they try to reconstruct how the squatting and protests of the 1990s turned into lively alternative and subcultural projects and initiatives. With squatters, other contemporary witnesses, but also with representatives of the city, the past and present conflicts between development and conceived urban planning are to be shown. To realize the project, they started group financing online at the beginning of January. This enabled them to achieve their desired goal of € 3,000. That's why there is hardly anything in the way of the film premiere. Your film will then be available free of charge on the “SUBTEXTE” YouTube channel.
